Free Veggies Available After Summer Weekend Masses! We are inviting all gardeners to include one extra plant in your garden this spring. When your plants start to produce bring in your excess to the church as you attend weekend Mass and add your produce to the others on the table. All veggies will be free to anyone who wants them. Any veggies remaining after the 11:00 Mass will be taken to the Food Pantry at InterFaith.
On February 4, the Presidential Administration announced a modification of this rule through which coverage for sterilization, abortifacients, and conctraception would be covered by the insurance companies, not by employers that have religious objections. However, this modification does not change the basic nature of the mandate.
The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops have called for a Fortnight for Freedom to last from June 21 through July 4. During this time, Catholics and indeed all Americans will be encouraged to pray and catechize about the importance of religious liberty. See the links below for more information.
