
Our parish partners with two local churches in operating community soup kitchens on Wednesday and Friday evenings. Volunteers are needed to cook, bake, set up/clean up and serve meals.
TIME COMMITMENT: four times a year for two hours at a time.
Volunteers assist the pastoral staff in distributing communion to the sick and shut-ins of our parish. Training and orientation is provided. If you are in need of this ministry, please contact the Parish Center.
The mission of CIA states: "We are Catholics joined for social interaction, community service, and spiritual growth. It is our desire to share our service with our parish family and the community at large. We welcome all in the spirit of Christian fellowship." CIA holds meetings the second Sunday of the month.
SVD is an outreach organization of our parish that strives to meet social, material and spiritual needs of people in the local community who call our church for assistance.
TIME COMMITMENT: Monthly meetings/some home visits.
The Bereavement Team reaches out to those experiencing loss and grief. Our outreach efforts include home visits, phone calls, mailings, community prayer services, resources for coping and healing, and networking with neighboring grief recovery organizations.
The team meets every 4-6 weeks.
Our parish provides a luncheon after funerals for a deceased member's family and friends upon request. Volunteers are needed to solicit entrees and help set up, serve and clean up after the luncheon.
TIME COMMITMENT: Varies/as needed.
The resurrection choir is "on call" to sing at parish funerals when needed. Most funerals are scheduled on weekday mornings. Men and women are welcome to join. Occasional practices may be necessary to learn new music.
