The Youth Ministry Athletic Committee has begun making plans for the 2008-2009 calendar year! Committee members include Aaron Goad (Athletic Director), Erik Furnish, Tom Murphy, Greg Hublar, Eric Happel, Shima Gettelfinger, Angela Snyder and Matt Stemle. Committee meetings are held monthly on the third Thursday of each month at 7:30pm. All committee meetings are open to the public and are held in the OLPH Youth Room. Anyone interested in joining the committee, may contact Michelle Fessel.

Our sports philosophy...
- Sports should be fun.
- Sports should develop ALL youth that participate.
- Sports should develop positive values in youth.
- Sports should allow youth to develop skills based on their God given talents.
- The safety of our youth is a top priority.
- Coaches and parents must model the values we want our youth to learn.
- Youth should have a variety of formative experiences in their lives, with sports being one of them.
- Sports in our league is a Catholic faith based experience.
- Winning has nothing to do with your win-loss record.

Download and complete the following forms. Dues for the 2008-09 athletic year are $40 per child or $60 per family (regardless of the number of sports each youth participates in).

- Deanery Medical Release (to be completed by parents) (NAD Athletic Medical Release Form)
- Deanery Physical Form (to be completed by physician)

What is required of a Youth Ministry Coach?
- A Coaching Application (completed once a year). (Coaching Application) Download and return to the OLPH Youth Ministry Office.
- A Background Check (completed once, every five years) (NAD Coaches Background Check Form). Download and return to the OLPH Youth Ministry Office.
- A Coaches Code of Conduct (NAD Coaches Code) Download and return to the OLPH Youth Ministry Office.
- VIRTUS Training (a one-time training). Please register at http://www.virtus.org/ for one of the following dates:
- November 13
- December 13
- Deanery Coaches Orientation (a one-time training) Download a registration form at http://www.nadyouth.org/ (under "Catholic Athletics").and return it to the OLPH Youth Ministry Office.
